"Canada is best understood at 100 km/h, one province at a time."
Meet Big Pete
Some call him Le Grand Peate. Others call him Big Pete. On the CB radio, he's simply "The Philosopher." Whatever name you use, one thing is certain: when your entire life needs to move 4,000 kilometers across Canada, this is the truck you want behind the wheel.
As part of the Great Canadian Van Lines network, Pete has traveled from Vancouver's coastal rain to Halifax's Atlantic fog, through Saskatchewan's endless prairies and over the Rocky Mountain passes. He's seen the Northern Lights from a Manitoba rest stop and watched the sun rise over Lake Superior more times than he can count.
Pete's philosophical nature comes from long hours on the open road. He believes that every move is more than logistics—it's a life transition, a new chapter, a leap of faith. And he takes that responsibility seriously.
When he's not hauling precious cargo across provinces, Pete shares his wisdom about long-distance moving, Canadian geography, and the art of packing for a cross-country journey.
